The  file  IJCAI.REP[F75,JMC] at  SU-AI  contains an  account  of the
Lerner affair.  I would appreciate suggestions concerning

        1. Where  to publish it  and whether.          2.  Errors and
omissions of fact.           3. Whether something included  should be
left  out.           4.  Whether   it  is  fair  to   all  concerned.
5. Matters of style.

The intended  audience includes both  the Computer  Science community
that already knows something about the controversies and  the general
scientific community  that may be  involved in future  conferences in
the Soviet Union.
